Editorial Policy
Last Updated: June 2026
TrustedCalcHub is committed to providing accurate, reliable, and transparent calculation tools and educational content. This editorial policy describes how our tools are created, verified, and maintained.
Our Editorial Standards
All calculator tools and supporting content published on TrustedCalcHub are developed according to these core standards:
- Accuracy First: Every formula used in our calculators is verified against established industry standards, academic references, and real-world data before publication.
- Transparency: We clearly state the formulas and methodology behind each calculator so users can understand and verify results independently.
- Regular Review: All tools and content are reviewed periodically — at minimum annually — and updated whenever underlying standards, fee structures, or data sources change.
- User Feedback: We take user-reported errors seriously. Any reported inaccuracy is investigated and corrected within 5 business days.
How Our Calculators Are Built
Each calculator on TrustedCalcHub goes through a structured development and review process:
1. Formula Research & Verification
Our team researches formulas from authoritative sources including engineering standards bodies (ASTM, AASHTO for construction calculators), official platform documentation (eBay Seller Center for fee calculators), and established mathematical conventions. We do not use estimated or approximate values where precise formulas exist.
2. Development & Testing
Calculator logic is implemented and then cross-tested against manual calculations and known reference values. For example, our Asphalt Calculator is validated against standard NAPA (National Asphalt Pavement Association) density values. Our eBay Fee Calculator is tested against eBay's official fee schedule documentation.
3. Edge Case Handling
We specifically test edge cases — for example, the Half Birthday Calculator handles February 29 leap year birthdays, month-end date compression (August 31 → February 28/29), and year transitions. Edge case handling is documented in the tool's FAQ section.
4. Content Review
Educational content accompanying each calculator is reviewed for accuracy, readability, and alignment with current best practices before publication.
Sources & References
Our calculators draw on the following types of authoritative sources:
- Construction Tools: NAPA (National Asphalt Pavement Association) density standards; AASHTO pavement engineering guidelines; civil engineering textbooks
- eBay Fee Calculator: eBay Seller Center official fee documentation, updated annually (last review: 2026)
- Snow Day Calculator: Open-Meteo API for live weather data; NOAA National Weather Service forecast models; regional school closure policy research
- Half Birthday Calculator: Gregorian calendar mathematics; standard six-calendar-month calculation methodology

Accuracy Disclaimer
While we strive for complete accuracy, our calculators are designed for estimation and informational purposes. For critical engineering, structural, financial, or legal decisions, results should always be verified by a qualified professional.
